One play for sure. I don't know what they are thinking on this one.

Justin Leonard over K.J. Choi: - 115

I love the fact that Leonard is playing with Vijay and Darren Clarke who both play well here. I think he feeds off of them for the first two days.

K.J. Choi will not even make the cut.

Tough start by Leonard, good start by Choi. Hope it turns around.

Its better to have an early tee time.

I was just in San Antonio the past few days. Temp hit 101 on one of the days. Sat in the Houston airport yesterday. The food in concourse D at Chili's is really bad.

D.clarke shot a strong 68 and then left to be with dying wife. My sportsbook graded this as a "no action" play against harrington.

Is this normal to grade it this way. Is it possible different books grade this as a loss for Clarke becuase he withdrew?

Camilo Villegas 0 (-115) (VIP Sports)
Jerry Kelly vs Camilo Villegas
Shell Houston Open - Rnd 2 Matchups
Second Round Only

I like the younger talent versus the older player if we are looking at heat as a factor here. I think it will be quite humid once that rain clears up and old man Kelly won't have as good a shot to put up numbers today as the young Camilo.

A few other reasons to fade Kelly in this matchup ...

He ranks T48th in Scoring Average on the PGA TOUR while Camilo ranks 27th in Scoring Average on the PGA TOUR.
Kelly has a 65.3% Greens in Regulation Pct. thru the Verizon Heritage (Apr 16, 2006)
Villegas has a 66.5% Greens in Regulation Pct. thru the Verizon Heritage (Apr 16, 2006).

im liking Kelly in that matchup.

Prior to Augusta, Villegas was one of the top 5 players on tour. Since that time, he has really dropped off, while missing the cut last week (i believe)

Kelly is a Texas native, and i see him winning in this matchup

just my $.02........doesnt mean much

im not betting it though....best of luck! i hope im wrong!

I agree on the drop-off but the boy will be stoked to make the cut as every time he is on the line, he does well. Kelly on the other hand ...

jesper was ranked 130th in putting yesterday. he hit a lot of greens, but the flat blade wasnt working

maggert was in the top 30 in putting, so i feel even better about this matchup

Seems like an odd matchup for sure. You should do well with Maggert provided he reads those fast greens well. This watering the course is getting will make for more bogeys.

Usually it is graded as a win for Harrington.
